PVR is actually a film entertainment company in India. It’s 4DX is the second cinema chain in India to introduce 4DX in the country after Cinepolis. PVR has signed 11 theatre agreements with 4DX which is the largest in the country out of which three are operational at the moment. Of the outlets in India, one each is in Mumbai, Pune, NCR and Chandigarh, two in Bangalore, whereas three more are coming up by the end of the year at Hyderabad, Pune and NCR. It also has different outlets in Kolkata.

Carnival Cinemas is another multiplex chain in India. It is spread in 120 cities at 162 locations with over 470 operational screens. 5. London Paris – Mukti World
London Paris is a sophisticated place to watch movies with friends and family or as a couple. It is located in Bullygunge which is very near to Gariahat. Though the hall is not so big, it hosts various major releases and yes, it is a very nice place to enjoy. The ticket prices are also not very high.

Nandan is a government-sponsored film and culture centre. The primary aim of the cultural hub is to encourage and facilitate cinematic awareness in society. It includes a few comparatively large screens housed in an impressively architectured building. Nandan is actually one of the main venues of the Kolkata International Film Festival. It was hosting it till 2010, while in 2011 the opening and closing ceremonies were shifted to Netaji Indoor Stadium. But Still, Nandan remains the main centre for the festival. It is actually an ideal and popular place for youngsters.

It is one of the best cinema halls in south Kolkata. Its the best entertainment experience one can have in this hall with superb viewing and sound quality and mind-blowing comfort. 8. Bioscope Multiplex
Priya Entertainments Pvt. Ltd. (PEPL) has been in the field of entertainment for almost a decade, and is dedicated to combining “Culture and Commerce”. PEPL has done pioneering work in the field of entertainment and now it has an inseparable part of Bengal’s cinema and culture. The ambience of their movie hall Bioscope Multiplex is retro, they have a very good waiting area where you get magazines to read while you wait for your show to begin. It is actually a very comfortable, decent and peaceful place. The important features of this theatre are that tickets are not so expensive and the drinks, popcorn and other food items are cheap and good. They show very few trailers and advertisements before the start of a movie. So be on time otherwise you may miss a few scenes of your favourite flick.

Navina is a typical cinema hall with reclining comfortable seats, Dolby audio sound and air conditioning featuring various films. It is one of the best and oldest movie halls in south Kolkata and also a very popular one. It is not actually a multiplex but it has a big screen which will definitely impress you and give you a nice view of a movie.

Priya cinema is situated just beside Deshopriyo Park. It is a single screen movie hall and one of the oldest in Kolkata. Old is absolutely gold any time and that rings true for Priya cinema as well.
